The Veterinary Services Regulatory Board of South Australia (‘VSRBSA”) supports animal health, safety and welfare and the public interest by providing for the registration of veterinarians and premises at which veterinary services are provided and regulating the provision of veterinary services for the purposes of maintaining high standards of competence and conduct by veterinarians pursuant to the Veterinary Services Act 2023.
One of the VSRBSA’s functions is to provide information and advice to veterinarians and the public about relevant legislation, codes of conduct, professional standards and other standards and guidelines prepared or endorsed by the VSRBSA. The VSRBSA considers that the performance of this function is limited to providing the information that is contained in the documents that the VSRBSA publishes on an official basis, including policies, guidelines, procedures and educational material.
